About us

Stephen Arroyo PT, ATC

Following an early career in the physical therapy field working for a national physical therapy chain corporation, Stephen founded TheraSport physical therapy with the intention to provide a more personalized care in an effort to achieve faster/more complete outcomes.  Stephen is a certified athletic trainer and a state licensed physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic injuries and post surgical rehabilitation.  He is a McKenzie trained therapist and follows the McKenzie approach for diagnosis and treatment of spinal conditions.  He has had a wealth of experience treating injuries both on the field and in the clinic.  Stephen has treated ages from 8 to 100 and prides himself in adjusting the treatment to the needs, skills, and physical level appropriate for the patient.  Therapy should not be a one size fits all, but rather should be tailored to the individual and based upon the most proven and successful treatments available.

Stephen has maintained a close relationship in the community of Duluth/Johns Creek and has treated many of his patients for multiple conditions as they were satisfied with their initial outcomes and returned when further rehabilitation was needed for injuries to other parts of the body.c

Why Choose TheraSport Physical Therapy?

Direct Access

Georgia State law allow for physical therapist to evaluate and treat your injuries and orthopedic conditions without a physician referral. Most insurance providers will cover your physical therapy treatments if you receive care directly from the therapist without an order/referral from a physician. However, there are isolated insurance providers that do require a referral from a physician in order to provide coverage for physical therapy treatments. Please call to inquire if you are eligible to try therapy without a referral and save the time and cost of further medical expenses.
